Grenache is a very interesting and alluring grape. With slightly thinner skins than many of the other Rhone reds, it can be fickle and difficult to grow. It can also exhibit a range of flavor profiles, depending upon where it is grown, ranging from soft, round and plush to spicy and racy. Our version, which is 98% Grenache and 2% Syrah sourced 100% from Camp Four Vineyard, certainly has a nice, rich, round palate with bright red berry fruit flavors, but also shows its characteristic spicy streak as well. After spending 22 months in 100% older French oak Barrique barrels, this vintage has captured some of the rich, subtle qualities that Grenache has been touted for. A great, versatile food wine with softer tannin structure, this Grenache wine is ready to go right away!
