Gypsy has quickly become our red wine that embodies all things summer! As a lighter counterpart to Revelation, this wine has a freshness and ripeness that can easily be enjoyed on a warm evening or at an afternoon barbeque. One of the elements that help this wine show its flavors and delicious character right upon release is that its blend is primarily made from Grenache, a grape touted for its fruitiness and gentle tannins. Comprised of 62% Grenache, 24% Mourvedre, 8% Syrah, 4% Cinsault and 2% Petite Sirah, the 2006 Gypsy is a medium bodied wine that has an approachable lushness and a wonderful elegance on the finish. Along with the fruit and spice from the Grenache, this wine embodies the structure from the Mourvedre, spice and mineral from the Syrah, softness and bouquet from the Cinsault and chocolaty richness from the Petite Sirah. This winning combination of grapes has made for a wine that is ready to drink now and ready to be enjoyed among family and friends! Try pairing this wine with all of your summer favorites including ribs, burgers and Dad's famous pork chops!
