Our 2005 Grenache is one of our best kept secrets. With a reputation as a blending grape (for those of you who like Chateauneuf du Pape, Grenache is typically the backbone), Grenache as its own varietal is often overlooked. One of my favorite quotes about Grenache: "Grenache, you're the most famous backup guitarist, playing a lightly tannic beat in some of the better groups". -Appellation America

All of those elements that are so desired from Grenache to enhance a blend are the exact same qualities that make a predominantly Grenache varietal such an exceptional wine. And that is why our 2005 Grenache is our best kept secret. The lower acids and tannins in this wine make the rich, attractive fruit qualities and the sweet berry character the stand out attraction for this vintage.

Since our Grenache is solely sold in the tasting room, only a select few have had the opportunity to appreciate the jammy, fruit flavors along with the soft palate that this medium bodied wine has to offer.
